At a glance: The Mac app can record and store sessions locally without a paid subscription. Optional AI and sharing features may involve third-party services. Paid VibeLogger Pro subscriptions are not yet publicly available; when launched, checkout will disclose the price, renewal schedule, and applicable policies before purchase.
1. Agreement and contact
By downloading, accessing, or using VibeLogger or its website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The product is operated under the PaperPilot brand (referred to here as “VibeLogger,” “we,” or “us”). Questions can be sent to founder@paperpilot.me. The Privacy Policy explains our data practices.
2. Software and permitted use
VibeLogger is a macOS application for capturing, reviewing, searching, and using visual context from development and other work sessions. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the application for lawful personal or internal business purposes. We retain all rights not expressly granted.
You are responsible for having permission to record the screens, conversations, materials, and people included in your sessions. Comply with applicable consent, copyright, employment, and privacy laws. Do not use VibeLogger to unlawfully monitor others, compromise systems, distribute malicious content, infringe rights, or interfere with the service or its providers.
3. Your recordings and generated materials
You retain your rights to your recordings, transcripts, notes, and other material you create or import. Your original session library is stored on your Mac by default, not automatically uploaded to PaperPilot Cloud. You control whether to upload a session for sharing or send selected context to a hosted AI provider. You are responsible for your source material, lawful sharing, local backups, and reviewing any content before disclosure.
AI-generated summaries, answers, and test drafts may contain errors or omissions. Review and validate them, especially before running scripts, relying on technical advice, or publishing outputs. We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, original, or fit for a particular purpose.
4. AI providers and optional cloud sharing
Depending on the features and settings you select, VibeLogger may communicate with a configured third-party or local AI endpoint. Hosted AI requests can include selected transcript text or screen frames, which may be unredacted when optional privacy scanning is disabled. Third-party providers may apply their own terms, pricing, data-handling, and acceptable-use rules.
PaperPilot Transfer sharing is separately initiated by you. Browser-playback shares and client-encrypted .vibe bundle shares have different security characteristics. Do not assume browser-playback shares are end-to-end encrypted. Review the content and access settings before sharing. Read our local-first sharing guide and Privacy Policy for details.
5. Free features, subscriptions, and billing
Recording, playback, local transcription, and basic local search are available in the free product, subject to technical requirements. Bring-your-own-key AI features may incur charges from your selected AI provider, which you pay directly to that provider. Proposed Pro features, allowances, and prices are described on the pricing page; public Pro checkout is currently disabled and no live Pro subscription is offered through this website at this time.
If paid direct subscriptions become available, the checkout will show the actual plan price, currency, billing interval, included usage, any taxes, and renewal terms before payment. Plans may renew automatically until canceled as disclosed at checkout. Paddle will act as merchant of record for eligible direct purchases; its Buyer Terms also govern those transactions. Apple in-app purchases, if offered in the future, would instead follow Apple's checkout and billing rules.
For Paddle-billed subscriptions, use the management link in your Paddle receipt or Paddle buyer support to cancel. Cancellation ordinarily prevents the next renewal and preserves paid access through the current billing period, subject to the purchase terms. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy and applicable law.
6. Availability and changes
Features, integrations, supported macOS versions, provider availability, and free or paid limits may change. We may update or discontinue features for security, maintenance, legal, or operational reasons. We will communicate material changes when reasonably appropriate. Future subscription changes will be handled in accordance with the terms shown at purchase and applicable law.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, VibeLogger is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for the independent operation of third-party AI, hosting, or payment services. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Ending use and updates to these terms
You can stop using VibeLogger at any time and uninstall the application. Removing the app does not automatically cancel an independently purchased subscription or delete content already shared with a provider. We may restrict access to hosted features if their use materially violates these terms or applicable law. We may revise these terms and will post the updated date here; continued use following an applicable update signifies acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
