Pro prices shown are proposed until checkout opens. Managed AI and billing are in sandbox testing and are not publicly available. Pro starts with GPT-5 Mini. The $3 allowance is measured at provider cost, resets each calendar month (UTC), and does not roll over; text, images, and frame scoring share it. When it runs out, managed AI pauses until reset and your own provider remains available. We do not collect your payment card details. Free AI uses your own API key or local model; third-party charges are yours. Selected text and images can be sent to cloud AI and may be unredacted if optional privacy scanning is off; original recordings stay on your Mac.

Where are recordings and transcripts stored?

Recorded sessions, media, transcripts, notes, and session history are saved on your Mac by default, with no automatic upload of the recording library to PaperPilot Cloud. Cloud copies are user-initiated through Share to Web or encrypted .vibe bundle sharing on PaperPilot Transfer. Optional hosted AI is separate and can send selected text or frames, potentially unredacted when optional privacy scanning is off.

What is free, and what will Pro cost?

Recording, playback, local transcription, and basic search remain free. Our proposed Pro pricing is $79 a year or $9 a month. Check the pricing section for current checkout availability.

Does Pro include the cost of an AI model?

Pro is planned to include managed AI with a published monthly allowance and no API keys required. This service is in sandbox testing. Free supports your own API key or compatible local model; third-party provider charges are yours.

How will subscription payments be handled?

Direct Mac subscriptions will use Paddle when purchasing opens, starting from your signed-in account in the app. A future Mac App Store version will use Apple StoreKit in-app purchase instead. The payment page will show the actual billing amount, renewal terms, and available cancellation options before you pay. VibeLogger does not collect card numbers.
