Current availability: VibeLogger's Mac app is free to download, and public Pro subscription checkout is not yet enabled. This policy explains how refund and cancellation requests will be handled for eligible direct purchases once checkout launches. Nothing here reduces statutory consumer rights.
1. Free product and third-party AI costs
VibeLogger's free recording, playback, local transcription, and basic search features do not require a subscription payment to VibeLogger. If you choose to use your own API key with an external AI provider, charges from that provider are governed by that provider's billing and refund policies, not this VibeLogger policy.
2. Direct purchases through Paddle
When direct Pro subscriptions become available, Paddle will act as the merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout. Paddle processes the payment and handles transaction-level refund and cancellation requests under its Refund Policy and Buyer Terms. Unless applicable law or purchase-specific terms require otherwise, purchases are not automatically refundable. Paddle may consider discretionary requests on a case-by-case basis, including requests submitted within 14 days of a transaction. A request within that period does not guarantee approval.
3. How to request a refund
For a Paddle-billed transaction, use the support link on your receipt, the link in your account's billing details if available, or visit paddle.net and select the refund support option. Provide the transaction information and a brief explanation so Paddle can locate and assess the request. Paddle determines eligibility and issues any approved refund, normally to the original payment method where possible.
For product problems, email founder@paperpilot.me and we will help troubleshoot or coordinate with Paddle where appropriate. Please do not send payment card details by email.
4. Canceling a subscription
For a future Paddle subscription, you can cancel using the “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email or through Paddle buyer support. Canceling stops future renewals; it generally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not automatically refund charges already paid. Deleting the VibeLogger app or your local recordings does not cancel a subscription.
5. Statutory rights and other storefronts
Your mandatory consumer rights remain in effect. Depending on your country or region, those rights may include a cooling-off period, withdrawal rights, or remedies for digital products that are faulty or not as described. Paddle's policy explains the applicable country-specific rules, exclusions, and request procedures. We do not restrict any rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
If VibeLogger is sold through Apple's App Store in the future, Apple will process eligible payments, cancellation, and refund requests under the App Store's rules rather than Paddle's process. Check the storefront identified on your receipt.
