Nothing to upload to record.
Sessions and original media are saved locally on your Mac. You can capture, replay, and search basic session content without uploading a cloud copy of your recording.
Local-first recording · You control what you share
Your recorded screen sessions, microphone audio, transcripts, notes, and session history live in your local VibeLogger library. There is no automatic upload of your recorded sessions to PaperPilot Cloud.

Choose Share to Web for a browser-playback copy or share an encrypted .vibe bundle with another VibeLogger user through PaperPilot Transfer ↗. These are separate modes with different protections.
If you invoke a hosted AI model, selected transcript text and screen frames may be sent to your configured provider. Automatic privacy scanning is off by default, so this context may be unredacted unless you enable scanning or apply redactions. This does not automatically upload a full recording to PaperPilot; compatible local model endpoints are also supported.
Security without overstated promises
Privacy rules can block outgoing content or apply saved redactions. Automatic sensitive-content scanning is off by default; enable it and review sensitive text or frames before sharing or using hosted AI.
The portable .vibe bundle flow uses a fresh ChaCha20-Poly1305 key and encrypts the bundle on your Mac before uploading. The decryption key stays in the fragment of the recipient share URL, separate from the normal transfer API request.
Share to Web uploads a viewable session copy and offers access settings including passwords, recipients, and expiration where available. It is not the same as the end-to-end encrypted .vibe bundle flow.
VibeLogger is useful as a local visual memory even if you never upload a session. When collaboration is useful, share deliberately and review what leaves your Mac.
